Switch Guard shown in Crown Ace Hardware store in Newport Beach, CaliforniaSwitch Guard was invented by a couple of guys who were tired of seeing light switches taped up at the homes of their families and friends.  At the time they didn't know how widespread the problem was until they introduced their product to their local Ace Hardware store.  That particular Ace Hardware group owned ten stores and placed their first order for 1,000 packages.  Amazingly the product moved very quickly (sold out in 30 days) and since then Switch Guard has been sold in all 50 states.

A short testimonial from one of the inventors of Switch Guard.

"I currently use seven nine (9) Switch Guards in my own home. After inventing this product with my best friend Steve Ventre I never thought I would (or could) actually require so many in my home.

Below is a listing of where I use my Switch Guards;

1. Front door porch lights that have a light sensor to activate them. I want the switch on always so the lights activate automatically at dark.

2. An outdoor wall sconce on the side of the house activated the same as above.

3. A set of flood lights in the back yard with motion activation so that our dog trips the sensor when she goes out in the middle of the night to do her business.

4. A set of flood lights for security in front of our garage also on a motion sensor.

5. A remote controlled ceiling fan in our first floor living room.

6. A remote controlled ceiling fan in our upper level living room.

7. A remote controlled ceiling fan in our upper level dining room.

8. A remote controlled ceiling fan in our master bedroom.

9. Our main stereo system which also provides surround sound for television.

The reason for most of these is because our KIDS and CLEANING SERVICE kept flipping the darn switches off! Can you imagine how frustrating it is to have a remote controlled ceiling fan that requires you to get up to turn the switch on to work? It defeats the purpose of having the darn remote.  Or how about depending upon your outdoor lighting to come on automatically when you pull into the driveway? Wouldn't it bug you to have your kids (or anyone) constantly turning it off?

I hope you enjoy our product and find it as useful as we have."
